Abstract
The Pickens County, Alabama Probate Judge Receipt Book contains one receipt book used by Oscar Leonidas McKinstry, the Probate Judge of Pickens County, Alabama from 1890 to an unknown date. The receipts detail payments for the settlement of estates, payments to paupers, rent and mortgage payments, fees to attorney, witnesses, and jurors, fees to sheriffs and other court and government officials, advertising payments, pension payouts, wages to convict hires, and license fees.
