Abstract
The Inez Duke Collection consists of a mahogany "swagger stick" with a sterling silver cap inscribed: "U of A Law Class '29 Inez Duke." Duke was the only female law student in her class, prompting the male students to lobby for her to receive the swagger stick rather than a larger cane upon matriculation. She went on to practice law in Opelika, Alabama.
