Abstract
Analyzes why some scholars of color have become increasingly skeptical about affirmative action Criticizes the rolemodel argument for affirmative action the notion that minorities who benefit from that program will set a good example and uplift their people Proposes that professionals of color eschew the role model function and seek out more authentic and vital relationships with their constituent communities
