Abstract
I enlist my alter ego Rodrigo Crenshaw to analyze the predicament of men of color particularly black men who according to many commentators are an endangered species with high rates of school dropout conviction imprisonment and early death I review commentaries and environmental law showing that protection of nonhuman animals is advancing rapidly and that animals may easily gain legal standing to sue for violation of their rights and interests even earlier than the date when black men receive full protection
